Chirar pulao (Flattened rice flakes pulao)

Chirar pulao



Ingredients:

  • Thick flattened rice: 150 grams
  • Potato thinly sliced: 1 medium
  • Peanut: 25 grams
  • Raisins: 25 grams
  • Turmeric: 1/4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar: 50 grams
  • Ghee: 5-6 tbsp
  • Shahi garam masala powder: 1/4 tbsp

For tempering:

  • 1" cinnamon stick
  • 2 green cardamom
  • 2-3 cloves


Making Procedure:


At first wash chira and drain the water immediately.Put chira into a colander and keep aside.

Heat ghee in a kadai and add cinnamon stick, green cardamom, clove. When the ghee becomes fragrant add sliced potato and fry on medium heat for 3-4 minutes. Now add peanut and fry for a while. Add chira, turmeric, salt, raisins,sugar into the kadai and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes on low flame.

Remove from heat and sprinkle shahi garam masala.

You can serve it as a breakfast.
