Karamcha (Karonda) Chutney

Ingredients:

  • Karamcha 100gms
  • Aamsatta 1 square inch
  • Water 300ml
  • Sugar 30gms
  • 1 Pinch of salt 
  • 1 Pinch of roasted cumin seed powder

Making Procedure:


Take each piece of karamcha and cut them into half and remove their seeds. Put them in the pressure cooker and give 1 whistle and keep them until steam dissipate on its own. Now take a pan and put the boiled karamcha along with water. Cut aamsatta in small pieces and add into pan. Bring it to boil and add sugar. Cook on low medium heat til the sugar syrup thickens to your desired consistency.

As chutney is acidic in nature so we need to pour it into a ceramic or glass bowl. Allow it to cool down then sprinkle the cumin seed powder.

You can store it in refrigerator for five days.
