Yellow Dal



Ingredients:

  •  1/2 cup moong dal
  •  3 tbsp. desi ghee (I used Nestle or Gits ghee)
  •  1/4 tbsp. cumin seed
  •  1 tbsp. sugar
  •  1/3 tbsp. turmeric powder
  •  1 medium sized onion (chopped)
  •  Salt


Making Procedure:


First semi boil the moong dal. Heat the ghee in a kadai. Now add cumin seed, onion and fry on low heat till the onion edges turned light golden.

Add the moong dal, turmeric, salt and sugar. Stir it very carefully and make sure that the dal doesn't ruffle. Cook it for 2-3 minutes on low heat.

Spread little amount of ghee on it. Serve with rice or ghee roti.
