Chinese Veg Paneer


Ingredients:


  • 150 grams paneer (cut into cube)
  • 2 carrot (peel and cut into medium cube)
  • 1 green bell pepper (chopped)
  • 6-8 baby corn (cut into slices)
  • 2 medium sized onion (slices)
  • 4 clove medium sized garlic (chopped)
  • 2 tsp. ginger (grated)
  • 1-2 dry red chilies (chopped)
  • 1 tsp. corn flour (dissolved in 50 ml water)
  • 2 tbsp. oil
  • A pinch of sugar
  • A few spring onion (chopped)
  • Salt to taste

For sauce:


  • 1 small tomato (finely chopped)
  • 2 tsp. tomato chili sauce
  • 2 tsp. ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp. dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. chili vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. ajinomoto
  • 200 ml water

Making Procedure:



Heat oil in a wok. Add onion slices and chopped garlic, fry for 2 minutes on medium heat. Add dry red chilies, vegetables and fry on medium heat till the vegetables are semi soft.

Heat oil in a pan, add chopped tomato and fry until they becomes soft. Then add ginger garlic paste into it and fry till the oil comes out from the sides.

Now add tomato chili sauce and stir for a minute then add 200 ml water, dark soy sauce, chili vinegar, salt and bring it to boil . When start boiling add the fried vegetables, salt, pinch of sugar, ajinomoto into it and stir well.

Now add paneer cubes, stir it carefully and cook it covered on low medium heat
for 5 minutes or the vegetables are soft.

Then pour dissolved cornflour into it and cook it for another 2 minutes.
Garnish with chopped spring onion and serve hot.
