Rice Ball


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked rice (preferably basmati rice)
  • 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
  • 1 tsp. garlic (chopped)
  • 2 tsp. green chilies (chopped)
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 2 tbsp. parsley (dried) 
  • 1/4 cup cheese (grated)
  • 1 1/2 cup bread crumb
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp. mustard powder
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep fry

Making Procedure:


In a large mixing bowl lightly smash cooked rice. After that add chopped onion-ginger-garlic-green chilies, parsleygrated cheese, black pepper powder, mustard powder, nutmeg powder, bread crumb, egg and salt. 

Mix well all the ingredients by hand and prepare a dough. Then make 20-22 balls from the dough.

Heat the oil in a kadai and deep fry the balls till it turns golden brown color. Remove the balls from oil and soak it in paper towel.

Serve hot with tomato or chili sauce and onion rings.
